    they&#039re just terms describing concepts. an object is a piece of code describing &#039something&#039 and perhaps allowing you to manipulate that &#039something&#039 in some way or other.<BR><BR>a component is, in essence, just an object packaged up. in the ASP context it means a component can contain the code for one or more objects, and allow it to be accessed by any COM-compliant language.
