Default Need help sorting

I&#039m building a recordset of products from different companies. Normally sorting by company would display all of one company first, then the next and so on. The problem is, I need to alternate them (ie, comp1 comp2 comp3 comp1 comp2 comp3 etc) and I&#039m just about at wits end.

Ideally a SQL statement that does all of this at the time the recordset is created would be best, but I&#039m not above placing all of the information into an array and sorting it.

If anyone has any ideas that could help, I&#039d greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Phil

Default Not truly sorting, is it?

I can&#039t think of *any* normal sort routine that would do what you ask.

What do you do if there are 10 companies? 9 companies? What do you do if you have 17 records from company #1 but only 12 from company #2 and 4 records for company #3?

Can you express, *IN WORDS*, an algorithm that describes *exactly* what you need to do/see?

But...
