    Default read then update recordset.

Hi --ok, i just need to understand the idea behind this. I first open a recordset that has like 4 rows. Then I need to update just one of those records. Do I need to have to seperate recordset for this update or can I update a specific record in the first recordset. If so, how. thanks

One way is to isolate the row you want in your select statement. Better, use the update statement and don&#039t open a recordset at all...<BR><BR>SQL = "UPDATE MYTABLE SET COL1 = NEWVALUE WHERE COL2 = SOMEVALUE AND COL3 = SOMEOTHERVALUE"<BR>CN.EXECUTE SQL, , 128
