    hi,<BR><BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 80040e31&#039 <BR>[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired <BR><BR>i got the above error and even after i changed the Connection object&#039s ConnetionTimeout property to a higher value, i got the error again.<BR><BR><BR>Please advise.<BR><BR>Regards,<BR>Shruthi.<BR><BR><BR>

    I&#039ve experienced this problem before. Causes were:<BR>1. SQL server overworked or a lot of Disk I/O instead of caching all the query processes. Beef up the RAM or processor.<BR>2. Someone else&#039s (or your) query or the administrator has the server too busy to process your query. Check the current sever activity when this happens to find the culprit.<BR>
