Default Netscape repaint problem

    How do I get around the fact that Netscape Communicator doesn&#039t always re-paint screens properly and the user is forced to press refresh to get the page functioning properly.

An example of this is a JavaScript driven navigation tool that is disabled on resize but is re-enabled on refresh.

there are lots of scripts available all over the net. if you have dreamweaver 3.0 i think there&#039s one built in.

basically they&#039re like this

if(document.layers){
self.onresize = self.location.reload()
}

just reloads the page, giving it a fresh lick of paint

jason

    Thanks Jason,

thought that was the answer but just wondered whether it was something I was doing wrong or else it was just an unavoidable consequence.
