Default Using Javascript with ASP

I think I know the answer to this already, but is it OK to use Javascript on ASP pages to validate input fields etc and use VBScript to output from a database. I assume that anything not within <% %> tags will not be regarded as VBScript and will be outputted to a HTML page where the browser can then deal with the Javascript?

I assume this line
<%@ Language = VBscript %> specifies that anything between percents is VBscript and that I can still us Javascript as well within script tags??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sham

    Sham,
Not only is it ok to use JavaScript to validate forms etc, it is actually advisable as Netscape doesn&#039t support VBScript. Anything between <% %> is processed by the server and it therefore doesn&#039t matter greatly what language you use - though most people use VBScript as it isn&#039t affected by the user&#039s browser.

david
