    Default Special Characters

My code deals with special characters(in Portugese & spanish) that come from the database & are to be displayed in the frontend.<BR>ASP can&#039t interpret them & as a result replaces them with a &#039?&#039 wherever it encounters them.<BR>Any suggestions welcome.<BR>Thnks.
