Can anyone help. How can I set this? I have tried everything to my knowledge, including looking at and changing some of the registry settings. But still nothing works. Any advice? Please let me know how I can change this setting. I am running IIS 4.0 on NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5. It is very simple, your SQL Query is taking too long to run. Try bumping up the connection timeout to a higher value.

For example:

Set Connection = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")

Con nection.ConnectionTimeout = 60
Connection.CommandTimeout = 60

There is a Command Timeout which is the time in secords before the timeout error hits the server. By default this is 30 seconds, but in my example above, I set it to 60 seconds.

The Connection Timeout is the time in seconds before the connection timeout error happens.

You can set this to 180 seconds (3 Minutes) and if your queries are taking longer than that to run, I&#039d re-check them again if I where you to look for logic errors or something.

I hope this helps!

http://www.normad.com/asphelp.html
