I would like to add a &#039pre-canned&#039 sql statement to a URL that will produce query results. It would seem such an easy thing to do but I am baffled.

Does anyone know how to do such a thing?

Thanks

Bill

Remember that the URL is processed by IIS, which knows nothing about databases, SQL or anything other than serving HTTP requests.

You need to write a page that takes input (in either a querystring or form submission) and does a query based on that using ADO, then format the results of that query into HTML so they can be returned to the client.

It&#039s a *really* bad idea to use unparsed form or URL input to build a query, because a malicious person can alter the input so that instead of a SELECT statement you execute a DROP TABLE statement...

Dunc
