Hi All...

I am using ASP (Only VBScript) on PWS. I am not using IIS.
This is running on Windows NT 4.0

I have an option in my Application to Save the HTML page as Word Document.

For which I have written following Code.

<%
&#039 Create WinWord Object

Dim WordApp
Dim WordDoc

AspAllowOutOfProcComponents = TRUE

Set WordApp = CreateObject("Word.Application")

&#039Don&# 039t open the Word Application

WordApp.Application.Visible = False

WordApp.Documents.Add

%>< BR>

I tried to use Set WordApp = Server.CreateObject("Word.Application") but it gave me problems.

so the above code is Working perfect on my PC. It saves Word Doc properly.

When I started testing this application on some other PC (Where Word, Access, PWS are installed) it came out with an error

Microsoft VBScript runtime error &#039 800a01ad&#039

ActiveX component can&#039t create object: &#039Word.Application&#039

/pain/Feedback_SaveAsDoc.asp, line 33

Could anyone help me in this Regard Pls...

The Altnernatives I tried :

1. Add a Line

AspAllowOutOfProcComponents = TRUE in Global.asa

2. Try and edit the Registry to add &#039 AspAllowOutOfProcComponents&#039 to 1 as per some Posting on this message Board.

But nothing seems to be working.

Moreover all the Help Documents of MSDN, Webpages suggest about IIS alternates. No where it has specified about Pure PWS.

Kindly suggest me something. I repeat...the above code to save as Word Doc is working on My PC. Its not working on other Pcs.

Rgds

Prashant
