    Default ADO connection (Web Samba)

    Actually a specific question but might be answered generally. My temp site was on ewebcity (down) I&#039m using but they give you ZERO help knowing what your ADO connection string should be.<BR><BR>I&#039m hoping someone else runs a test site and has a connection string I can patch my together from<BR><BR>on ewebcity:<BR>"DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}; DBQ=f:siteswww7TEMPdbDB.mdb")<BR><BR>any help?<BR><BR>thanks

    If you insert this...<BR>&#060;!-- DataLink --&#062;<BR>&#060;object classid="clsid:2206CDB2-19C1-11D1-89E0-00C04FD7A829" id="dlink1"&#062;&#060;/object&#062;<BR><BR>into the body of your page and add this in client-side script...<BR><BR> txtConnect.Value = dlink1.PromptNew<BR><BR>you can build your connection string interactively. You will get a warning about using potentially dangerous components. I&#039ve also read that you can open a new datalink just by right clicking on the desktop but I&#039ve never gotten it to work.
