    Default admin level emailing problem

    i am having trouble getting the email working with a basic asp page. i am on a network of NT machines, and the script only works when i am logged in on the administration level.<BR><BR>the setup bits of my asp page look like this:<BR><BR>strTo=""<BR>strsql=""<BR>strconn="Dri ver={SQL Server};Description=sqldemo;SERVER=; UID=sa;PWD=;DATABASE=customer;"<BR>set conn=server.createobject("adodb.connection")<BR>co strconn<BR>set rs=server.createobject("adodb.recordset")<BR><BR>< BR>&#039This sets up the mailer<BR>set objCDOMail=server.createobject("CDONTS.NewMail")<B R>objCDOMail.from=strFrom<BR><B R>objCDOMail.subject=strSubject<BR>objCDOMail.body =strBody<BR>objCDOMail.send<BR><BR><BR>Is there a way to get this to work for people with non-administrator access?<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Timm

    Maybe check that the Internet User account on the web server has the appropriate permissions to the database file? - Just an Idea.

    Default RE: SMTP - emailing problem??

    i don&#039t really want to open it up to the guest internet user account. just let members of one group would be ideal.<BR><BR>I added the NT group to the list of "opperators" in the SMTP control panel. (previously administrators was the only one listed). <BR><BR>still getting the permission denied error though...anyone else <BR>have any ideas please?<BR><BR>-Timm
