    Default text - disabled?

    i want to disable a text box from user input..<BR><BR>&#060; disabled &#062; IE supports... but nor Nescape..<BR><BR>any idea for both IE and Netscape<BR><BR>Thanks

    You could always use the .blur method of javascript.<BR><BR><BR>&#060;INPUT TYPE=Text Name="test" Disabled onFocus=this.blur()&#062;<BR><BR><BR>I usually put the Disabled in there for IE also, but the onFocs will work for both browsers.<BR><BR><BR>HTH<BR><BR>Jerry

    Thanks..<BR>It works..but onfocus , the cursor remains there...even though can&#039t modify, if i press Back space key..it goes previous page??<BR><BR>why is that

    if i put disabled then could be able to request the value inside that text box from the next asp??
