    Default slow record retrieval

I just completed migrating my Access database to SQL Server 7.0. Since then I noticed it takes a lot longer for SQL to access records from a search query. Even when I converted the dynamic queries to stored procedures the search time was still sluggish to the point that I was recieving connection timeouts. Is there any way to speed up the search/retrieval time? Thanks, Charles

Hi,<BR>are you using only recordset objects? Use command objects with the stored procedures. The execute the command object to set or open your recordset<BR> cm &#039==&#062;where cm is your command object<BR><BR>Command objects are best used with stored procedures & parameters & will certainly make the retreival faster <BR>
