    Default Fiddly Access Merge Problem

I have a salary that is calculated from some other fields in a query. This is formatted as a currency (yen in my case) and shows up just fine in the query when I run it with commas and the yen mark. I use this query as the basis for a mail merge in Word. When I do though the formatting disappears and all I get is a number. How can I keep the formatting or format the field in Word (a bit off topic maybe...)

This is more a tad off-topic since it has nothing to do with ASP but...<BR><BR>Mail-merge only carries across values so any styling you submit is null and void. One way to get around this would be to have the query change the value into a formatted string eg:<BR><BR>StrValue:"£" & MyCashAmt<BR><BR>hth<BR><BR>Franco<BR><BR>
