Default Netscape SQL problem

    "400 Bad Request
Due to malformed syntax, the request could not be understood by the server. The client should not repeat the
request without modifications."

This is what I get when I´m trying to search a database with the following sql-query:

sql = "SELECT * FROM SystemInformation "
sql = sql & "WHERE Systemname = &#039" & system & "&#039"

The variable system I get from the following:
system = request.querystring("system")

The only time the problem occurs though, is when the variable system has spaces in it, and only in Netscape and IE4. I can´t cut out the spaces as they are essential for the database search.

Somebody please help me!!
When the asp page is called does your URL with your querystring have the proper encoding? In other words are the spaces translated to %20, etc.
