I keep getting the error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error &#039 800a000d&#039
Type mismatch: &#039inputText&#039

when I execute:
inputText = Trim(inputText)

The strange thing is that this code is actually executed fine, since results of its output (As well as the function it exists in) appears on the page prior to the error message. Its like the server is going back thru the code and generating the message after execution.

inputText is of type string (i used TypeName(inputText) to make sure). I am pretty sure it has to do with the data getting passed into my function, because if I manually enter:
inputText = "whatever "

then it works fine.

my function is defined like:
Function arrTextToArray(inputText)

and called like:
findThis = arrTextToArray(Request.QueryString("query"))
The entire function worked fine in a prior project. Its been annoying me for hours.

Any ideas?

-MS
