Default IIS - Stops responding - URGENT...

    Hi all

We are running an Web application on IIS4 server accessing Oracle database. After some random time, IIS stops responding. I can&#039t even access an HTM page on that server. However the NT server is working fine.

If I restart the NT server, then everything works fine. I have been doing this for the last 3 months. I have explicitly closed all the db objects, recordsets in my asp app.

I would appreciate if you can assist me to solve this problem.

Best Regards

N.Prabhakar

I have only seen this happen once and it turned out to be a faulty DIMM - the web application was running in its own seperate memery space and there were a series of single parity bit errors. These errors were not showing up in the NT event viewer either. I would not expect the NT event viewer to present an accurate picture of hardware health, it is better to rely on the hardware vendors log fils for that.

good luck

bart
