Default Regarding Cookies...

Let&#039s say I go to one website which upon login-in create a cookie for me called "username". Now, I leave the website without this cookie being removed and go to another website which also writes a cookie named "username". Will the second website overwrite the cookie created by the first website? If the answer is yes, the I guess you want to use a very unique cookie name in response.cookies if you want that cookie to live on, right?

No. Technically, a cookie should only ever be sent to the server from which it originated.

Due to some exceptional security holes in MSIE (most recently; there may be other holes in Netscape et all), this is not necessarily true -- but for simple purposes, it&#039s true enough.
