On a test system , running a query

line 18 strSQL = "SELECT * FROM tbl_news ORDER by date_now desc"
line 19 objRec.Open strSQL, objConn

everything is ok and a recordset is returned correctly sorted.

On the second system, the following error message is displayed and the database gets locked up.

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 8007000e&#039

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] System resource exceeded.

/liveweb/test.asp, line 19

It does not matter which field I try to sort on - I get the same error.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Any pointers would be gratefully received !

Thanks
