    Default Active X OCX Files, and COM objects

    Hey all.. Im writting a COM object that uses the Microsoft Winsock Active X File. mswinsck.ocx is the file.. OK i wrote and compiled the DLL and on one server the script runs but keeps timing out.. (This server is an NT box that has Visual studio installed on it. and SP6.) on the other server it gives me the error (error &#039 800a01ad&#039 <BR><BR>ActiveX component can&#039t create object )<BR><BR>I noticed that on the server i wrote the DLL on it had the .ocx file in the winnt/system32 dir<BR>on the other server that i coppied the file to and registered the DLL using the regsvr32 mydll.dll it always gives me that error..<BR>is there some sort of Active X Service pack i need to install on the server? any idea? Any help would be appreciated...<BR><BR>Wesley

    I think I know what you are passing. I worked in project with components and a common fact was the various "boots" that were necessary when we registered an OCX. It may be your case.<BR><BR>
