Default Hit Counter

I have seen and read all about using hit counters through asp. My question is... Can you create a hit counter in ASP and use it in an html file. Like with a lot of perl hit counters. In the html page you put something like <img src="http://hitcounters.com/hitcount.cgi> Can you do the same thing with an asp hit counter. If so, can you provide an example.

Thanks,
Eric

    Default RE: Hit Counter

You can do hit counters in ASP, but would be much easier if you do something like front page extensions hit counter.

One way in ASP is to use a database. Create a stored procedure that returns the current value, then adds one to it. Create a simple include file that executes the sproc and displays the counter.
