I need some more information so I can help you.

Please provide me with

Your DSN name
The name of the table where the data is being stored
The fields names in that table

and you MUST have an SMTP server installed on the server that is housing the database.

Show me those 3 things and I bet I can help.
DSN name is renuSQL

table name is : complaints

it is on SQL server

field names are : name, dept, location, make, prob

I do not know that SMTP server is installed or not but I tried a page on the Microsoft frontpage and send the data through mail only....and it is doing that perfectly.
I tried another page with data to be sent in the database, it is doing that also. My problem is how to do both with only one submit button

thanks

renu
my email :
firstname.lastname@example.org
Ah ok well since yo did all that, you should already know how to write all of the above so I won't need to show you.

Bascicly to do it all at once you just put your DATABASE connection code and the execute codes - then before you close your %> tag you put in your CDO scripts to send the mail.

Then you can disply a message about the database info was successful and an email has been sent.

If that does not make sense I can show you code.

Basiclly just put it all together before you close your %>
I am not able to do......because in the MIcrosoft frontpage, it writes in the webbot procedure and that it saves only one type.

pl. send me a sample code in brief so that I will convert it for my fields

my email is email@example.com

thanks for the extended help

renu
