See the discussion in this forum with the title "file not found error with...".

If you mean from things built into ASP, no. If you mean could you build a trivial little C++ component to do so, absolutely.

Possibly some of the 3rd party components have this capability (though I haven't happened to see it anywhere). Check out the long list of components at www.15seconds.com and see if any of them mention it.

I'm *assuming* you mean the HTTP environment variables?

Go to this link (and bookmark the MSDN library if you're not a subscriber) :

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?URL=/library/psdk/iisref/vbob5vsj.htm

Good luck.
I am not sure if ENVIRON keyword works from ASP. But you can create a COM through VB and use ENVIRON to access environ variable. OR you caould use getenvironmentvariable API.

here is the sample:

Private Declare Function GetEnvironmentVariable Lib "kernel32" Alias "GetEnvironmentVariableA" (ByVal lpName As String, ByVal lpBuffer As String, ByVal nSize As Long) As Long

Function getEnv()

Dim ret As Long
Dim strBuffer As String
Dim gintMAX_SIZE As Integer
Dim tmp

intMAX_SIZE = 1000
strBuffer = Space$(gintMAX_SIZE)

ret = GetEnvironmentVariable("PATH", strBuffer, gintMAX_SIZE)

tmp = RTrim$(strBuffer)
If Asc(Right(tmp, 1)) = 0 Then
tmp = Left(tmp, Len(tmp) - 1)
End If

getEnv=tmp

end function
