Default Populating TEXTAREA from MEMO field

Is it possible to populate a TEXTAREA with the data from a db&#039s MEMO field? Or any field for that matter?

If i understand your question, you want to insert a field from your database into a textarea. You can do this quite easy as follows:

&#039First establish your ADO connection
<%
Set MyConn=Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
MyConn.Open "MyDSN"
Set RS=MyConn.Execute("SELECT My_MEMO_field FROM MyTable")
%>
<textarea rows="6" name="MyMemoField" cols="50"><% = RS("My_MEMO_field")</textarea>
&#039 OBS the SQL syntax may vary from DB to DB the above will work on Access97

Hope this helps
Anders
