    Default Database accessing

    I&#039m still new at this so this might be a silly question, but I&#039m going to ask it anyway. I&#039m doing a form for a guy who wants the info saved to his access database. In the page, is all I have to do is to point the connection string to his database location? What about the global.asa file, is this even needed since he&#039s keeping the database local? Please advise.

    hi<BR> Whenever you establish a connection to the database(whether it is local or remote) global.asa file is updated with that connectionstring,uid and password. So

    why do you need a global asa file? if your form database and web server machine resides separately.. just create an ODBC which points to that guys database( if you&#039re in a LAN) then put the connection string to your asp page....<BR>Set conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<BR>conn.Op en "DSN=datasourcename;UID=;PWD="<BR><BR><BR>
