Please solve a disagreement between a collegue and I.

If I create a local object (not a session or application object, an object just for the scope of one page) do I need to set the object equal to nothing at the bottom of the page or does the object automatically get destroyed when the page is finished parsing?

We both agree that it is good form to set it equal to nothing, but is it necessary in this situation or merely a formality?
