I have a database being hosted by a hosting company on SQL Server 7.0. I wanted to be able to remotely administer the database from my home computer(Win98). I downloaded SQL Server 7.0 desktop version for my home computer. I can successfully create the ODBC data sources. I also registered the database in MS Enterprise Manager without a problem. I can expand the remote database server on the left-hand menu so it shows the following folders:

Databases
Data Transformation Services
Management
Security
Support Services

However, when i try to expand the databases folder further it just times out and Enterprise Manager stops responding. I have to end the task or it will sit there for 30 minutes and do nothing. This happens everytime, just with the remote database though, not a local one i created. Is this how i should be accessing my individual database objects? What could be going wrong?

Thanks.
