Default File location

    Hi,

my IIS is on default location c:inetpubwwwroot
Is it all the asp files has to be under the default location?

it is because when I try to place the asp file on other drive e.g. D:mywebsite
and the Enable Parent Path is disabled.
and I set a virtual directory pointing to D:mywebsite
I found that I can't include file in asp.

    Default RE: File location

    The physical location (on the harddisk) and the virtual location (within IIS) are two different things.

So if the root of your website is at c:inetpubwwwroot and you create a virtual directory at d:mywebsite then you should be able to access asp files there. The best way to use include files in such a configuration would be to use
<!--#include virtual="/bla.asp"-->
in stead of
<!--#include file="c:inetpubwwwrootla.asp"-->
Because the last one probably won't work.
