I have a data table with several fields, two of which are a "Completed" field and a "CompletionDate" field. The default value for the "Completed" field is "NO", the "CompletionDate field is type Date.

Entries to the table are set up in a form page with a radio button that corrosponds with the "Completed" field ("NO/YES" are the possible selections). When the "YES" value is selected a "DATE COMPLETED" textbox is enabled and the user is forced to enter in a date. However, when the "NO" option is selected the "DATE COMPLETED" textbox is disabled.

The problem I am having is when the "NO" option is selected and the user trys to add the entry to the table, This error occurs:

"System.InvalidCastException: Cast from string "" to type 'Date' is not valid."

I know that this is because the value of the "DATE COMPLETED" textbox is empty. How can I a NULL value to the table when the "DATE COMPLETED" on this condition?
