Default Try...Catch Overuse?

I remember reading an article on the Try..Catch implementation. I thought I remember a warning about not "overusing" this process. I cannot remember if the warning was for coding format purposes or if there was an internal architecture reason for it. Has anyone else heard of this warning and the reason behind it?

Thanks,
Dave

Sure...There are performance penalties that you incur when you add error handling structures to your code. It's worth it, if you have code that could cause trouble, such as connections to a database, or reading or writing to a file, for instance, but don't put try/catches where you don't need them. Just use common sense, really, and you should be ok.
