I have an ASP page which has commands to access a SQL Server 2000 database.<BR><BR>Ex:<BR>rsDatabase.ConnectionStrin g = "Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=xx.xxx.xx.xxx,yyyy;Initial Catalog=ABCDEF;uid=john;pwd=smith"<BR><BR>This line returns the following error:<BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'<BR><BR>[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.<BR><BR><BR>1. There is not much load on both the web and sql server and this is the only connection which I'm trying to open with the database.<BR><BR><BR>2. I have tried connecting to the database using the System DSN, but it won't connect<BR><BR><BR>3. On some days and at some times, the page works perfectly with no complaints.<BR><BR><BR>Can anyone please help me out with suggestions?
