Default I'm going crosseyed need help with simple ?

    I need to redirect from a page that is inside of a frame...

I am using response.redirect "../thankyou.asp"

but because the refering page is inside the frame it loads the new page inside the frame also...I need to replace the page so that it is the only page open and it is "on top"... like the HTML _self or _top.

I know simple question but I have been looking at code all day...got a headache and it is just not coming to me...

thanks

    Default can't be done with asp, you'll need to d

    your redirect with javascript code. A quick search on google brought up these:

http://www.psacake.com/web/ej.asp
http://weblogs.asp.net/ksamaschke/archive/2003/02/23/2831.aspx
http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=0&lngWId=4
Default You can hack a workaround

    Just add a simple script on your thank you page.

<SCRIPT Language="JavaScript">
if ( window.top != self )
{
window.top.location.href="http://www.yourwebsite.com/thankyou.asp";
}
</SCRIPT>

If it is inside a frame it will get ride of it....

If you need this dynamically on any of the pages
just pass a value if querystring

response.redirect "../thankyou.asp?Noframes=no"

Then on page

<%IF request.Querystring("Noframes") = "no" then%>
<SCRIPT Language="JavaScript">
if ( window.top != self )
{
window.top.location.href="http://www.yourwebsite.com/thankyou.as p";
}
</SCRIPT>
<%End IF%>
