Hi there.
I'm trying to move my ASP site from windows 2000 to windows 2003. I have an email component that is being rewritten to use cdosys vs. cdonts.
As a test, I've written an asp page that is supposed to send a test email message via the company's smtp server.
However, everything is ending up in the queue folder. No errors are generated

code looks like this:
'Create the e-mail server object
Set objCDOSYSMail = Server.CreateObject("CDO.Message")
Set objCDOSYSCon = Server.CreateObject ("CDO.Configuration")
'Out going SMTP server
objCDOSYSCon.Fields
'objCDOSYSCo n.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserver") = "abc.vgn.cty"
objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserverport") = 25
objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusing") = 1
'objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpconnectiontimeout") = 60
objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserverpickupdirectory")= "c:inetpubmailrootpickup"

objCDOSYSCon.Fiel ds.Update

'Update the CDOSYS Configuration
Set objCDOSYSMail.Configuration = objCDOSYSCon
objCDOSYSMail.From = "filetracker@vaughan.ca"
objCDOSYSMail.To = "julie.woo@vaughan.ca"
objCDOSYSMail.BCC = ""
objCDOSYSMail.Subject = "File Tracker Test"
objCDOSYSMail.HTMLBody = "Hello there"
objCDOSYSMail.Send
'Close the server mail object
Set objCDOSYSMail = Nothing
Set objCDOSYSCon = Nothing

I want to ensure that SMTP itself is set up correctly on this box. I've noticed that I don't have the default smtp virual server in IIS. Is it supposed to be there in II6.0?
I can start and stop the service with no problems. I've also granted IUSR_machinename write priviledges to mailroot and it's subfolders.

Please advise.
