...want an ASP page where you can click Next and Previous to go through a table in your database. Is that it? Have you looked at the FAQs? You're also probably better off getting a book on the matter, such as "Teach Yourself Active Server Pages 3.0 in 21 Days" which explains how to open a database from ASP and read the records.

Oliver.
I have an access file that is saved as 12a-politics.mdb and is titled politicans. I am having problems getting the server to see my request for that file. I have looked at tons of stuff on the internet and they all seem to give examples with html forms. When I do think I have found something I can't understand it. We are using a database file to store where the location of the file is and I am suppose to make up an asp page that will look up that file with this in the code then I need to know how to move through the table movenext, movefirst, moveprevious, movelast. I am not referencing something right. PLEASE HELP ME. Can I post the files in here maybe?
...that you don't need to worry about getting the right connection string, I *think*.

That all you need to do is

and you will get the right connection. Or connection string. It would be a good idea for you to go find that file and look at what it is doing for you before you go any further.

As for the rest of it: You are going to be doing something called "PAGING". And there are *TONS* of references out there on how to do it.

For example, google for "paging access asp vbs". There are even some examples on this site, but they may be too advanced for somebody who doesn't know how to open a database yet.
