    I was asked to design an asp site<BR>with a "Personalization" option.<BR><BR>In general, what is the best way<BR>I should encounter the problem?<BR>sould I use cookies in order to read<BR>the user preferences, or maybe use a<BR>"preferences database" and get only the<BR>user name via cookies (and the rest of<BR>the information from the db?).<BR><BR>Please advise...

    I would store just an ID in a cookie and store the prefs in a database keyed on that ID.<BR><BR>Good Luck!
