I&#039;m having a problem with virual path connection to a database below the root folder of a website. Is there a way to overcome this without having to use physical path (i.e. e:domains.....) its on a hosting account so I don&#039;t have access to the IIS configuration.<BR><BR>I am getting an error message (System.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory) when I try to use a virtual path to connect to a database in a private folder.<BR><BR>The string I&#039;m using is as follows (from a subdirectory under the wwwroot) :<BR><BR>Dim ConnectString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source="& Server.MapPath("../../db/dbase.mdb")
