    Default ASP and login pages

I would like to put a login page on my website. I would like the page to search a database with usernames and passwords and then login or deny according to the presence of the information. I&#039m new at this and would like to hard code something and not try something prepackaged (FrontPage, etc.) Please respond to jkmoses@yahoo.com

First off, let me say that I am happy that you&#039d rather code this yourself. That&#039s the only way anyone learns, is by rolling up their sleeves and getting dirty.<BR><BR>There is a great article over on 4Guys that shows you how to achieve simple authentication using session variables and a database.<BR><BR>Simple Authentication <BR>http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/050499-1.shtml<BR><BR>Happy Programming!
