    Default SQL Server 2000 Date Problem

    Dear Expert <BR>I am using ASP,SQL Server 2000 and vbscript.When I insert data from ASP pages SQL Server store date type data as yy/mm/dd format.But I need to store mm/dd/yy for my front end query processing.Can u expert guys help me.Even ASP dateformat functions has no affect on date data.

    Default How is that field defined?

    Is it a datetime in the table? What does your insert statement look like?

    Try the CONVERT function, it&#039;s under the menu as "CAST and CONVERT"<BR><BR>http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/tsqlref/ts_ca-co_2f3o.asp<BR><BR>It should have what you&#039;re looking for. Oh, and it doesn&#039;t matter how SQL Server stores it, it&#039;s all about how you retrieve it.
