    Default Strange speed difference

I have a particular page in my site that returns very quickly when viewed on a browser on the web server it's hosted on but MUCH more slowly when viewed on another machine on our LAN. I know that the page is generated very quickly by the server (by diags I've added) so what can explain the major time lag in a page being displayed by a browser that's simply on a different machine (it's not a massive page either) ?

The speed on your LAN results on how your network is setup. Accessing a page through the internet may go through a different system of checks than that of the internet access. It maybe a physical or software problem. I would direct this problem to your network administrator to get the best answer to this problem.
