Default Trouble getting at HTML control values...

We have an ASP.NET page that has two list boxes on it. One is
filled on page load from the database, the other is empty.
We have the standard >>, >, <<, < button setup to move
selected/all between the two boxes. All of these controls are
asp server controls, and work fine.

The problem comes in when we wanted to "Double Click" one list
item, and have it go to the other list. Since the Server
control lists don't have a Double Click event to code to, we
decided to use a javascript function called on the doubleclick
event of the Lists.

The Problem is that although we can put the double-clicked item
in the opposite list, when the form is posted back, the server
doesn't "see" it in the list box we put it in.

Even if we step through it, and see it on the form, it will not
be recognized in the list.

The only solution I can think of is to save the item(s) in
application variables, but I don't know how to get to them from
within the javascript function.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

John
