Default JAVASCRIPT PROB!!

    i am trying to pass a blob of text to the next page as a hidden field in the form. Now this is blob can be any text containing unpredictable number of newlines and /or quotes.

on the next page i have a button on cliking which the blob passed on should become the text in a textarea .

i wrote a script which would simply do

document.form1.textbox.value = <%=Request.Form("blob")%>;

now this thing does not work since the newlines and quotes in the blob cause problems of "unterminated strings" for the LHS of the above eqaution and the script halts!

please advice!

    try using server.urlencode property and send the data in a query string,something like this

"test.asp?blob=<%=server.urlencod e(blob)"
