Can anyone suggest an article or tutorial on creating DB driven menus for a web site? I&#039;ve build a menuing system using XML and XSLT, and while I like that a lot, I&#039;d like to now do one that uses the database to pull the menu data from.<BR><BR>A google search brings up mostly tutorials on building DHTML fly-out menus. I&#039;m looking for static menus.<BR><BR>I think the basic concept would be to list each item and assign a relationship to each item&#039;s parent. Then, I&#039;d use some recursive queries to get the &#039;active page&#039; and render it out, along with it&#039;s parent&#039;s up the chain.
