Apologies - typing before thinking. Yes, you are right.

Do you have ips listed in the DB with a unique key? If so, do:

sql = "SELECT TOP 10 [column name] FROM [table name]
ORDER BY [unique key filed] DESC"

Try that. The ORDER BY should convert the TOP to the bottom.
Do you expect to know who the last ten vistitor were?

This is a relational database...*Not* a sequential file!

Really, what you need to do is to add a DATETIME VisitDate column, and insert the time that they user is visiting along with the IP, and order by that.
If you do SELECT TOP 10, then you will get the last 10 *BY ALPHABETICAL ORDER*.

So if LAST YEAR you got some hits from IP addresses
184.108.40.206
220.127.116.11
18.104.22.168
22.214.171.124
126.96.36.199
188.8.131.52
184.108.40.206
220.127.116.11
18.104.22.168
22.214.171.124
You NEVER EVER git hits from those IP addresses again.

But *FOREVER* those will be the addresses you get from SELECT TOP 10.

You *obviously* do not understand how databases work. Listen to Xander.
