Hi,

I'm trying to use a DataAdapter to handle some changes between a DataTable and an Access database.

The problem I'm running into is strange, and it does not seem to matter whether or not I use an OleDbCommandBuilder.

When I call Adapter.Update() I always get a message saying that such-and-such a field cannot be null b/c its required property is set to True.

This makes sense, and I have no problem with it. It makes sense b/c I'm not always including every single field in my SQL Update command.

However, I should be able to get around this, by going into Access and setting all required fields with some default value, correct?

But this does not seems to work, and I can't figure out why.

Again, it doesn't matter if I use a CommandBuilder to auto-generate the SQL, or if I create it myself. The results are always the same.

Any ideas?
-Steve
