Default Managing SQL DB

I'm on a shared server. I have Windows XP Home OS. I've inherited a large MSSQL db on my server that I must manage. How can I do this on my computer? Is it possible to download a SQL database? If so, how can I manage it such as adding new columns, etc... I've read about Enterprise Manager but I have XP home and don't see it on my computer.

Any advice?

    Default Enterprise Manager comes when..

    .. you buy SQL Server.

The developer version is only $100.

But, the word from the underground is that if you purchase the 120-evaluation, the DB Server itself expires, but the client tools do not.
