    I posted this on ASP.Net forum, was asked to post here;<BR><BR>----<BR><BR>Dim test = System.DateTime.Now <BR>txtAddNotes.Attributes.Add("onclick", "this.value= &#039;" & test & " " & Session("name") & " &#039;" <BR><BR>I click on the text box, datetime and username appears. so far so good <BR><BR>But the cursor is on the beginning of the textbox not at the end of the added text.. <BR><BR>How can I have the cursor on the next line??

    TO be honest, I don&#039;t think you can. at least, not cross-platform. it&#039;s possible IE may have a TextRange method for this but I&#039;m not sure.<BR><BR>can&#039;t you prepend the date server-side?
