If you aren't, post what exactly your trying to acheive and someone might have a better method.

In the years I've been doing webdev I've never had to use Blob.

James.
i am getting data from other site in bit stream... The xml gets posted to me in a bit stream thru an https connection using post tcp/ip protocol. This is not the same as html form post. There are no variables which i can catch. i am using vblen function to confirm the length of the stream and than i want to use vbdata to convert the stream to a sting format... now instead of converting to string i want to store directly to the dataset... so i can store to database....

thanks for the help
