Default Splitting a recordset

    Hi,

I'm creating a recordset (ordered alphabetically by one particular field) using an Access database. What I need to do is find some way of splitting the recordset into three equal (or as near as) parts, and displaying each part separately (in three table columns).

Is there an obvious way of doing this (in SQL / ASP terms) that I'm missing?

Default I don't quite understand, but...

...why don't you just chose only the columns you want and display them, i.e. if your recordset has 12 columns, you select columns 1 to 4, 5 to 8 and 9 to 12 and display them in a different colum. Or, if you have a large text field you want to split, just use the Mid() function and maybe Len() to get the length of the text. I'm not sure what you mean though, so I might be talking out of my backside... :-)

Oliver.
