I'm not going to pretend I know ASP. I've been asked to add a snippet of code (I hope) to allow a user to select from a dropdown a specific department to reload the calendar to view that departments task only on the calendar. So the select is easy enough...

Admin
AV

But my question is passing this to this function they have setup...

<%
function getContent()
searchDate = month(current_date)&"/"&days&"/"¤t_year
QRY = "SELECT * FROM calendar WHERE eventdate = #"&searchDate&"# AND archived=0 ORDER BY task"
set SQL = cnnSimple.Execute(QRY)
if not SQL.eof then
%>

Obviously it's not checking in an AND to see if DeptID is definied. So I guess if someone can point me in the right direction to do an if function in the query to check to see if deptid is definied in the URL(i think this deptID = " & request.querystring("deptID "). Any help would be much appreciated!!
